Galloping into a New Chapter: Tea Story's Journey in the Year of the Horse

As we welcome the Year of the Horse, we find ourselves looking back at a year that felt less like a steady trot and more like an exhilarating gallop. 2025 was a milestone year for Tea Story—not just in numbers, but in moments, meetings, and the quiet joy of seeing our teas become part of more people's daily lives.

A Year of Growth, Measured in Cups and Connections

The past year brought remarkable growth. Compared to previous years, we saw a significant rise in both reach and recognition. More people discovered Tea Story—at markets, at events, through a friend's recommendation, or simply by chance, picking up a box and deciding to give it a try. And many of those first tries turned into something more: a ritual, a preference, a cupboard staple that gets reached for again and again.

Nothing tells this story better than the people who drink our tea. Throughout 2025, we met thousands of you—at weekend markets, art fairs, wellness workshops, international exhibitions, and intimate tea gatherings across London. You came to our stall, asked questions, shared your own tea memories, and left with a box (or two). And then you came back. Some of you have now gone through three, four, five boxes. Some now know exactly which oolong to reach for on a rainy afternoon and which white tea to brew when you need to slow down.

From Strangers to Regulars: The Tea Story Community

What started as transactions became relationships. We watched as first-time buyers became regular customers, and regular customers became something closer to friends. You told us which blends became your morning go-to, which ones you gifted to family, which ones reminded you of home. You showed up at our events, brought friends along, shared photos of your tea sessions.

This, for us, is the real measure of growth: not just more boxes sold, but more cups shared, more rituals formed, more people for whom Tea Story has become a small but steady part of their lives.

Looking Ahead: 2026 and a New Chapter

But if 2025 was about reaching more people, 2026 is about welcoming them in.

This year, we are thrilled to share that Tea Story will open its very first tea room.

For the first time, there will be a physical space where you can come not just to buy tea, but to sit with it. To smell the leaves before they're brewed, to watch them unfurl in the pot, to taste side by side and discover what speaks to you. A place to ask questions, to learn, to take your time. A space where tea isn't just a product you take home—it's an experience you step into.

We've always believed that tea is best understood slowly, with all the senses. And now, we'll finally have a place to prove it.
